Goodbye Bush; Hello Obama...

At 12:01pm, President Barack Obama is scheduled to begin his inaugural speech. And I might be stuck in a meeting. That just bloody figures.

No matter what your political views are, you have to admit the man can give a speech.

Of course, this also marks the end of the Bush era. I had a rather surreal moment the other day when, for some reason, I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that this boob was President of the United States for the eight years. My brain just wouldn't accept it. 

For an interesting blast from the past, here's The Onion's take on Dubya's first inaugural. It's actually quite frightening. I think I'm going to be reading their take on this inauguration less for the funny, and more for the prophetics.
