He Was So Obviously Not a Foodie...

I overheard this conversation between the patron and the waiter, at the table beside us tonight:

"Can you please send this fish back? It's almost raw in the middle."

"Sir? It's supposed to be cooked like that. It's listed on the menu as 'Seared Rare Ahi Tuna'."

[long pause]

"I thought 'rare' meant, 'difficult to find'."

It was all I could do not to snort Cabernet out through my nose.
